Locust from Clack
"Wind and worm" rather than the more usual "blight and mildew" is more precise. The first certainly refers to damage caused by the Sirocco, hot dry east wind, and captures the soundplay of the Hebrew. Both affect particularly vegetables and grain crops, while the "locusts" of the next line strip the trees.
