אֱלֹהִים 'elohim "God, gods" used as if it were a name for Israel's God, this apparently plural form also refers to gods (in the plural) as in Am 5:26. Found frequently in Amos (2:8; 3:13; 4:11-13; 5:14-16, 26-27; 6:8, 14; 8:14; 9:15) .
