בָּמָה bamah "high place" literally a mountain or hilltop. Also used of sites giving control of the land or places of worship. In Am 7:9 "Isaac's high places" are presumably where Adonai was worshiped. In 4:13 - with perhaps intentional ambiguity - it is not clear in what sense Adonai "treads the high places".
