בֶּן־הֲדָד ben-hadad Ben-hadad (son of Hadad) Hadad was a Semitic storm god, the name Son of Hadad was used by both Aramaic and Edomite kings in the biblical period. The Ben-hadad mentioned in Am 1:4 is likely to be either the predecessor whom Hazael ousted, or Hazael's son.
