Hebrew works by adding pronouns, articles, prepositions etc. on to nouns and verbs as prefixes and suffixes, this means that the number of word-units in Hebrew is often much less than the number of words in English. e.g. "Does a net spring up" (Am 3:5) is expressed by one, hyphenated, "word-unit" in Hebrew.
